Soda and other sugary drinks
Soda and other sugary drinks are high in added sugars and should be limited or avoided in your diet. These drinks include regular soda, fruit-flavored drinks, sports drinks, energy drinks, and sweetened iced tea. Drinking too much of these beverages can contribute to weight gain, type 2 diabetes, and other health problems. Choosing water, unsweetened tea or coffee, or low-sugar alternatives like sparkling water or infused water is a healthier choice.
